• Magic Moments #04: Michael Manns “Crime Story”

    Parallel zu der äußerst erfolgreichen Serie “MIAMI VICE” entwickelte Michael Mann ein weiteres stylisches Crime-Action Format: “CRIME STORY“. Dieses lief bei uns in Deutschland zuerst 1989 im Abendprogramm von RTL PLUS. Neben der von Miami Vice bekannten Videoclip-Asthetik bot Crime Story einen größeren Pool an Charakteren und an Drehorten und hatte das zum damaligen Zeitpunkt mitreißendste Intro im Fernsehen. Dieses Intro wurde von Season zu Season angepaßt und die Szenen an die jeweilige Season angeglichen. Del Shannons “Runaway” blieb als Musik erhalten und sorgte für einen unvergeßlichen Ohrwurm:
